I signed up to be a volunteer for the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

Helloooooo China! Except it will be funny because I signed up to be a translator and they will realize soon enough that I can't speak Chinese XD. Suckaahz.

Ok I probably won't get it, but still fun to think about.

My friend showed me this picture when she was looking up Shanghai vintage art, and it reminded me of myself because I was a fat baby, and I am obsessed with watermelon. However, I am not a boy.

I don't understand how people can be so selfish sometimes. More specifically, I don't understand where this greed comes from.

I'm so fortunate to have been blessed with an environment that have post-poned this realization for this long. And I've been made aware now more than ever of what I hope I would never come close in becoming. To those trying to steal money from my family, to those who are ungrateful for what you have and keep wanting more, for being nice to others to get something from them, be warned. Karma's a bitch.

I just got back from Florida!

I can't believe Annie got married =). Mr. and Mrs. Smith haha.

It was my first wedding and I'm so happy that I was able to be a part of it. I never understood why people cried at weddings. It seemed so cliche. But (although I didn't cry), when I saw Annie walk down the aisle and she started tearing when she saw Scott standing at the alter, it was very emotional and I was jealous and filled with admiration for their union. The ceremony was beautiful but quite short, which was great since my heels were killing me standing up there. Not to mention her bouquet weighed a million pounds while I was holding it for her along with my bouquet. I especially liked the pastor's speech about what love was. He said love is not a feeling because there will be times when you fight with the other person and at that time, you're not "feeling" love. For most marriages, that feeling will be gone after a while. However, if you choose to love someone, that symbolizes a series of actions you do despite whether or not the feeling is gone. It's making a commitment and cherishing it. I think he was right since a lot of marriage end up in divorces because people give up too easily. They assume that a marriage is filled with that feeling forever when it isn't the case. And when it's gone, the easiest thing for them is to let go instead of cherishing that sacred bond. I witness true love when I look at my parents because I know that they love each other, even when during times when they hate each other. I hope I can have that kind of marriage someday. It's so scary because you think about the divorce rates and it is intimidating that so many people who you think were "in love" never followed through. All I know is, I hope I know when I find that person. The person who won't run away when things get rough. Because I want someone that I can grow old and be in love with forever. =)

Here are some pictures from the wedding!

I couldn't take any from the actual ceremony of course, but here's a picture of the bridesmaids at the ceremony. It's me on the right! I was her maid of honor ^____^

Then here's the lovely couple at the reception:

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER <3

And then for the next couple of days, I hung out with some friends that I haven't seen in...oh...6 years. These were some of my Florida high school buddies =). We were having a pool side bbq! + movie afterwards. Eagle Eye was better than I expected. Sometimes it pays off to have low expectations haha.

I got to also hang out with KC for a while after the wedding since I stayed at her place. Then with chu and funnce afterwards before I left. I guess my stay was pretty short but it was so nice to see everybody again. At Annie's reception I was seeing people I haven't seen in a LONG time left and right. Even those who left Gainesville before me =). Overall, it was a nice reunion ^^. Oh I also saw my old neighborhood! I was so excited that I screeched "MILE RUN!!!" (name of my neighborhood complex) and probably freaked out the driver.

It's true that distance weaken friendships, but I'm glad that even after all this time, things were back to the way it was when we're all together. I think that's true friendship =)
